Welcome to The 39th International Korea – Japan Seminar on Ceramics
Dear all ceramists of Korea, Japan, and around the world!
We are very happy to announce this invitation.
Since the first Korea-Japan New Ceramics Seminar was held in 1984, it has already celebrated its 39th anniversary this year (2025).

In 2023, we created a new starting point for the Korea-Japan Seminar on Ceramics. In particular, I would like to thank all of you for your interest in the 2024 Fukuoka JK-Seminar last year, and I express my deep gratitude to the organizers for their hard work in preparing the event.

I think the existence of the Korea-Japan International Seminar on Ceramics, which has played a major role in academic exchanges in the field of ceramics not only in Korea and Japan but all over the world, is a great pride and great asset for the ceramics of both countries.

We hope that the 39th meeting will further revitalize the Korea-Japan International Seminar on Ceramics and serve as an opportunity to play a leading role in the development of ceramic technology.

We are waiting for you in beautiful Jeju Island, an island of the World Heritage Site. I sincerely hope to meet you in Jeju Island, everyone!

Soon Gil Yoon, Chair of Korean Committee
